The Problem

You Trained Hard.
Your Pelvic Floor
Didn't Keep Up.

You show up every day. You push hard. But something holds you back — a leak during box jumps, a weak brace under a heavy bar, or a body that doesn't feel like yours anymore after pregnancy. You deserve better than "just do kegels."

  • Leaking During Workouts

Jumping, lifting, or running causes unwanted leaking. It's common — but not normal, and not something you have to accept.

  • Weak Core Under Load

You feel unstable bracing heavy. Your foundation doesn't feel solid and strength isn't transferring to real performance.

  • Fear of Lifting Heavy

You pull back on weights, avoid movements, and modify workouts — not because you lack strength, but because something feels off.

  • Postpartum Strength Loss

After pregnancy, your body changed. Returning to training feels overwhelming. You need a clear, guided path back to performance.

  • No Athlete-Specific Rehab

Generic PT doesn't understand your goals. You need a specialist who knows what 1RMs and race PRs mean to you personally.

Ask Dr. Brit Directly →
Do I have to stop training during treatment?
+
Absolutely not. Dr. Brit's approach integrates with your current training schedule — not against it. You'll modify specific movements temporarily while rebuilding the foundation, but you'll stay active and progressing throughout the process.
Is leaking during workouts actually normal?
+
It's common — but not normal, and definitely not something you should accept. Stress urinary incontinence during exercise is a sign that your pelvic floor isn't managing pressure correctly under load. It's highly addressable with the right specialist.
When is it safe to return to running postpartum?
+
The generic "6-week clearance" is not based on current evidence for high-impact sport. Return to running should be assessed based on pelvic floor strength and load tolerance — typically 12+ weeks with proper progression. Dr. Brit uses evidence-based guidelines tailored to your body.
How many sessions will I need?
+
Every athlete is different. Most women see meaningful improvement in 6–12 sessions. Some conditions resolve faster; postpartum return-to-sport protocols may be longer. Dr. Brit provides a clear timeline estimate after your initial evaluation.
Do you take insurance?
+
TruStrength operates as an out-of-network provider, allowing Dr. Brit to dedicate full session time to you without insurance restrictions. A superbill is provided for potential reimbursement. Many HSA/FSA plans cover pelvic floor physical therapy — call (720) 983-3665 for details.
I'm not postpartum — is this still for me?
+
Yes — pelvic floor dysfunction affects athletes at all life stages. High-impact sports and heavy lifting can cause pelvic floor dysfunction regardless of pregnancy history. If you're leaking, experiencing pelvic pressure, or feeling weak under load, this is for you.
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
+
Colorado law provides patients direct access to physical therapy without a prescription or referral. You can book directly with Dr. Brit — no referral needed.
